If you were living in a large vehicle on the streets of San Francisco on May 31, 2025, you may qualify for a Large Vehicle Refuge Permit. To qualify for a permit:

  • You must be experiencing vehicular homelessness.
  • Your vehicle must be listed in the City’s Large Vehicle Database (enter your license plate below to see if your vehicle qualifies for a Large Vehicle Refuge Permit).

This tool lets you check if your vehicle was recorded in the City’s Large Vehicle database as of May 31, 2025.

Please fill out the form below to submit a photo of your LV for Program review. Submitting a photo does not initiate the permit eligibility appeal process or exempt an unpermitted large vehicle from 2-hour parking enforcement.
